The Slow Road Back

It has been over a year since I have written on the blog. It has been two years since the stay-at-home measures, one year since I last posted and a little over a month since the Russian-Ukrainian war and it seems the road to normalcy (pre-pandemic conditions) is even further away. But, it has not halted my desire to find new ways to improve my photography. However, getting back to what usual when I did photography will be a lot further off. Getting back to that normalcy is going to be a slow road back.

The days of walking up to random strangers to take photographs may be troublesome given that you could easily contract the COVID-19 virus. Further, the heightened concerns of the virus and other political concerns may have made people tense in general. As a consequence, I have resorted to fleeing to the great outdoors as a means of enjoying photography. So far, I have been able to get out out twice over the past two years and have mostly limited my photography to landscape photography. It has been a while since I have tackled landscape as a subject. I am without a doubt rusty. But, there is no better time to get out and rediscover nature. So with any luck, I will be posting again in the future but it will be more landscape shots.

It is going to be a while till I can get back to taking portraits. But in the meantime, I will be divesting my interests into landscape photography. Things will eventually improve but I do know it will be a long way back. For now though, I will continue doing what I enjoy, I will keep shooting photographs and practicing.
